Job summary

Form Energy is seeking a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with cross-functional teams and solve high-leverage software problems. You will build full-stack applications, leverage AI-enabled tools, and own systems end to end in a fast-paced hardware and software environment.

You will work in a hybrid role, onsite 3+ days per week at the Somerville, MA or Weirton, WV offices, with relocation support available. Relocation assistance is provided as part of the package.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building and shipping production software.
• Strong full-stack engineering skills with modern web frameworks and back-end languages.
• Experience embedding AI/ML into workflows and driving AI adoption.

Responsibilities

• Embed with R&D, manufacturing, and operations to identify high-leverage problems and build software.
• Diagnose bottlenecks and decide what to build, delivering high-impact solutions.
• Prototype and ship AI-enabled tools and agents with governance.
• Own end-to-end applications from data model to production deployment.
• Turn tribal knowledge into durable, maintainable software.
• Build governed, traceable data models with auditability.
• Integrate with Snowflake, Oracle, Arena, Jama, and other enterprise systems.
• Ship to production with CI/CD and containerized deployment on Kubernetes.
• Drive rapid iteration from prototype to product with user feedback.
