CoreWeave is seeking a Staff Engineer for File & Block Storage to design, build, and operate our high-performance AI storage platform. You’ll craft scalable, multi-tenant control planes and contribute to exabyte-scale object storage and distributed filesystems.

You will work with RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, RoCE, InfiniBand, SPDK, Ceph, and DAOS, and will help optimize storage across the stack while improving reliability and observability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in storage systems engineering or infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with object storage or distributed filesystems in production environments.
• Experience with storage protocols (e.g. S3, NFS) and file systems such as Ceph, DAOS, or similar.
• Proficiency in Go, C++, or Rust.
• Familiarity with telemetry pipelines (e.g., ClickHouse, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, and scalable architecture.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills; clear communicator.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a scalable multi-tenant control plane for AI storage infrastructure.
• Contribute to exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage and distributed file systems.
• Optimize storage performance using RDMA, SPDK, and related tech.
• Improve reliability, durability, and observability of storage stacks.
• Collaborate with platform, product, and operations teams to deliver storage across the stack.
• Mentor engineers and share best practices for distributed systems.
