Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking a Staff Engineer, File & Block Storage to design, build, and operate the file and block storage behind our high-performance AI storage platform. You’ll create reliable, scalable systems for the world's largest AI workloads, collaborating with infrastructure, compute and platform teams.

You will drive multi-tenant control planes, S3-compatible storage, and distributed filesystems, while improving durability, observability and performance across the stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in storage systems engineering or infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with object storage or distributed filesystems in production.
• Proficiency in Go, C++, or Rust and cloud-native infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a scalable multi-tenant control plane for AI storage infrastructure.
• Develop exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage and distributed file systems.
• Work with RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, RoCE, InfiniBand to optimize storage performance.
• Improve reliability, durability, and observability of the storage stack.
• Monitor and optimize storage systems using telemetry and dashboards.
