Ladders is seeking a Staff Engineer, Experience Engineering to shape the next generation of user experiences for an enterprise software environment. You will partner with product and engineering teams to raise usability, technical rigor, and platform reliability across the experience layer.

The role requires strong technical leadership, mentoring, and hands-on contributions to system design, telemetry, and operational excellence in a high‑volume, cloud‑based environment.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years building large-scale products for sophisticated users.
  • Experience designing interfaces and technology for consumer-grade enterprise applications.
  • Strong technical leadership capabilities in setting direction and influencing teams.
  • BA/BS degree in mathematics, statistics, data science, or a related field; graduate degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Go, Python, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and high-volume data processing.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS and GCP, and various data stores.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build next-generation user experiences across the company's suite of products.
  • Collaborate with product teams to equip them with tools that support an excellent user experience.
  • Mentor engineers to strengthen technical rigor and system design across the team.
  • Ensure operational excellence for the experience platform, including monitoring and incident response.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Engineer, Experience Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.

This role will shape the next generation of user experiences for a sophisticated enterprise software environment, with a strong focus on building consumer‑grade interactions for complex technical users. The Staff Engineer will partner closely with product and engineering teams to raise the bar for usability, technical rigor, and platform reliability across the experience layer.

The position also requires strong technical leadership, mentoring, and hands‑on contributions to system design, telemetry, and operational excellence in a high‑volume, cloud‑based environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $214,800 – $295,350 annually
