Our client is a Series A ($15M Funded) startup seeking a Senior Software Engineer. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, self-motivated Senior/Lead Software Engineer who can help architect, develop, and scale a cloud-based SaaS platform. You will work closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions, while helping mentor and grow the engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement scalable cloud SaaS solutions
• Develop and maintain core platform functionality and microservices
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions
• Work closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders
• Contribute to technical strategy, team planning, and engineering standards
• Mentor engineers and support a collaborative, high-performing team
• Develop automated tests and maintain strong code quality through TDD
• Support CI/CD, deployment, and infrastructure initiatives
• Build and maintain integrations with databases, messaging systems, and third-party services

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience with TypeScript/Node.js or Go and microservices
• 6+ years working with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Aurora
• Strong understanding of data structures, indexing, and search
• Experience with Elasticsearch and Kafka
• 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience, including S3, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Lambda, and Redshift
• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and Jenkins
• Strong understanding of TDD and automated testing
• Experience with Redis or Memcached is a plus
• AI/ML, BigQuery, Metabase, or SaaS/ERP experience is a plus
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
