Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead architecture, development, and scaling of core applications. You will bridge backend data systems, AI capabilities, and frontend experiences with hands-on technical leadership across dashboards, microservices, and third-party integrations.

You will guide strategy, mentor teams, and push for operational excellence while focusing on payer operations and intelligent workflow automation within a CVS Health environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering with a focus on full-stack development and scalable apps.
• Mastery of modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and data visualization libraries.
• Deep experience with server-side languages and scalable microservices.
• Strong relational and NoSQL database experience and data integration.
• Hands-on AI model integration and AI orchestration in products.
• Public cloud expertise and strong CI/CD, containerization, and IaC skills.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills for cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and development of scalable web apps from frontend to backend.
• Architect and implement rich dashboards and intuitive user interfaces.
• Design secure APIs and integration layers with diverse data objects.
• Champion AI features and automation across the product suite.
• Drive DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes deployments, and IaC.
• Establish monitoring, logging and performance profiling standards.
• Mentor frontend, backend, and DevOps engineers and shape the tech roadmap.
• Navigate ambiguous requirements through stakeholder questions and solid designs.
