Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead architecture, development, and scaling of core applications. You will bridge backend data systems, AI capabilities, and frontend experiences, delivering rich dashboards, secure APIs, and AI-enabled features.

You’ll guide DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, and cross-functional teams, with a focus on payer operations, metadata enrichment, and lifecycle automation. Collaboration with product leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering with a focus on full-stack, architecture, and scalable apps.
• Proficiency in React/Angular/Vue and data visualization libraries (D3.js, Recharts, Highcharts).
• Server-side languages & frameworks (Node.js, Python, Java, C#, Go) and microservices.
• Relational and NoSQL DBs (PostgreSQL, MongoDB); experience with data feeds.
• Experience integrating AI models (OpenAI, Anthropic) and LangChain.
• Public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) and CI/CD; Terraform/ CloudFormation; Docker/Kubernetes.
• Able to translate complex requirements into technical solutions; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and development of scalable web apps, frontend and backend.
• Architect and implement dashboards and data visualizations for insights.
• Design secure APIs and data integration layers with third-party systems.
• Champion AI features and orchestration to automate workflows.
• Drive DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, containers, and IaC for reliable releases.
• Mentor engineers, set coding standards, and align with product leadership.
