Job summary

CVS Health seeks a Staff Engineer to lead architecture, development, and scaling of core applications. You will bridge back-end data systems, AI capabilities, and intuitive frontends, while championing a DevOps culture and embedding AI‑driven features into the product suite.

You will mentor teams, guide technical strategy, and drive operational excellence across the stack, focusing on Payer Operations, metadata enrichment, and automation of lifecycle contracts.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering with focus on full‑stack development and scalable apps.
• Proven ability to design scalable architectures and mentor teams.
• Experience with modern JS/TS frameworks and data visualization libraries.
• Deep backend/API design experience with Node.js, Python, Java, C#, or Go.
• Hands‑on with AI model integrations and orchestration (LangChain, OpenAI).
• Cloud proficiency (AWS, Azure, GCP) and IaC tooling (Terraform).
• Excellent communication of complex architectural decisions to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end architecture and development of scalable web apps.
• Build rich dashboards and data visualization surfaces for insights.
• Design secure, scalable APIs and data integration layers.
• Integrate AI features into products and automate workflows.
• Champion DevOps culture with CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
• Establish standards for monitoring, logging, and incident response.
• Mentor frontend, backend, and DevOps engineers and influence roadmap.
• Navigate ambiguity and align stakeholders to technical strategy.
