Job summary

CVS Health seeks a highly skilled Staff Engineer to lead architecture, development, and scaling of core applications. You will bridge backend data systems, AI capabilities, and frontend experiences, delivering rich dashboards and resilient microservices.

As a hands‑on technical leader, you will drive DevOps culture, embed AI features, and mentor engineering teams across frontend, backend and DevOps to ensure operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering with focus on full‑stack, architecture and scalable apps.
• Proficiency with modern JS/TS frameworks and data visualization libraries.
• Deep expertise in server‑side languages and microservices design.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and data feeds integration.
• Hands‑on experience integrating AI models (OpenAI, Anthropic) and orchestration frameworks (LangChain).
• Cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP), CI/CD tools, containerization, and IaC.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end design and development of scalable web applications from frontend to backend.
• Architect and implement dashboards and dashboards UI to surface complex data insights.
• Develop secure APIs and integration layers with diverse data objects and third‑party systems.
• Champion AI features to automate workflows and provide intelligent insights.
• Build and enhance complex orchestration, error handling, monitoring and self‑service capabilities.
• Drive DevOps and cloud‑native practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization.
• Mentor engineers, set coding standards, and align technical roadmap with product.
