Vercel is seeking a senior software engineer to build the next generation of agentic interfaces. You will design and ship cross-surface experiences, balancing natural-language interaction with interactive UI, data processing, and APIs.

You will work across product surfaces and system boundaries to deliver reliable, scalable solutions. The role emphasizes AI quality, tool use, memory, latency, and clear progress signals.

Qualifications

7+ years of full-time software engineering experience.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and building cross-system interfaces.
Comfort across product surfaces, APIs, queues, databases and production infra.
Curiosity, judgment, and ability to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly.

Responsibilities

Design and build V as the primary agentic interface for getting work done across Vercel.
Develop the agent architecture for intent understanding, planning, tool selection, and reliable execution.
Ship polished experiences across Slack, web, and other surfaces with rich interfaces.
Create evaluation, observability, and feedback systems for accuracy and trust.
Establish primitives to enable teams to contribute new capabilities consistently.
Turn learnings into infrastructure ideas that benefit Vercel’s customers.
