Job summary

Vercel is seeking a Software Engineer to join the VercelAgent team. Our mission is simple: deploying on Vercel should feel like adding a seasoned infrastructure engineer to your team.

The VercelAgent investigates incidents, fixes builds, and answers questions about your running app with logs and production context. Today, this work spans automated code review on every PR, AI-driven investigation of production anomalies, and an agent that resolves most issues without human intervention.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-time software engineering experience with TypeScript.
• Open to learning new technologies and adapting in a fast-changing space.
• Strong product and UI sensibility for AI interactions.
• Full-stack capability with understanding of CI/CD, observability, and large-scale web apps.
• Experience building or contributing to frameworks or reusable abstractions.
• Able to ship independently and influence architecture.
• Excellent communication to translate technical detail into insights.
• Familiar with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or RAG.
• Have worked with Next.js or modern web deployment ecosystems.
• Experience with sandboxed execution environments or container orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Design and build agentic systems that autonomously investigate, diagnose, and remediate production issues.
• Architect multi-step agent workflows that coordinate tools, APIs, and sandboxed code execution.
• Build the skills and tool integrations for deep knowledge of the Vercel platform.
• Ship polished user-facing experiences across surfaces (Slack, dashboard, CLI).
• Develop infrastructure for dynamic skill injection and runtime capability updates.
• Collaborate with other engineers on prompt engineering, model evaluation, and RAG pipelines.
