Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff Electronics EW Engineer in Melbourne, FL. The role focuses on developing electronic warfare subsystems, RF hardware/software integration, and tests within a 9/80 schedule with no hybrid/remote work.

The engineer will lead analyses, requirement flows, and supplier coordination while ensuring program objectives and customer needs are met. Security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• STEM degree with 12+ years experience, or Master’s with 10+ years, or PhD with 8+ years.
• Knowledge of electromagnetics in RF spectrum (VHF through Ka bands).
• Experience designing, developing, integrating, and/or testing RF equipment for airborne platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or support development and integration of electronic warfare subsystems and components to meet platform objectives.
• Requirements development, analysis, maturation and implementation, translating customer requirements into hardware and software specs.
• Performing functional and performance analyses.
• Conducting detailed trade studies.
• Performing risk analysis and mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with engineers and program stakeholders.
• Technical management of program partners and suppliers.
• Testing of subsystem requirements in lab and flight.
