Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to own sustaining engineering for product electrical systems, power distribution, and wiring. You will resolve field and production issues through root-cause analysis and drive design improvements and cost reductions while maintaining NEC/UL/CSA compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 7+ years of experience in a product/manufacturing environment, with HVAC/refrigeration experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of electrical engineering experience in a product/manufacturing environment.
• HVAC/refrigeration product experience preferred.
• Experience with control panel design, wiring, and ensuring NEC/UL/CSA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Owns sustaining engineering for product electrical systems, power distribution and wiring.
• Investigates and resolves field and production electrical issues through root-cause analysis.
• Develops electrical design improvements, cost reductions and component-obsolescence solutions.
• Maintains electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs and change control (ECN/ECO).
• Supports agency certification and compliance activities (UL, CSA, NEC).
• Supports production troubleshooting, test-stand development and validation.
• Partners with suppliers on electrical components and qualification.
• Provides technical guidance to technicians and less-experienced engineers.
• Travel up to 10%.
