Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a senior controls engineer to own sustaining engineering for product control systems, logic, and embedded configurations. You will investigate field issues, develop software updates, and lead design-improvement projects.

The role requires 7+ years in controls engineering, experience with embedded logic and sensors/actuators, and travel up to 10%. Collaboration with suppliers and technicians is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or Systems Engineering; 7+ years of controls engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience with control systems, embedded logic, sensors and actuators.

Responsibilities

• Owns sustaining engineering for product control systems, logic and embedded configurations.
• Investigates and resolves field and production controls issues through root-cause analysis.
• Develops and validates control-software updates, parameter settings and diagnostics.
• Leads cost-reduction, component-obsolescence and design-improvement projects for controls.
• Supports production line troubleshooting, test-stand development and validation.
• Maintains controls documentation, schematics, and change control (ECN/ECO).
• Partners with suppliers on controls components and qualification.
• Provides technical guidance to technicians and less-experienced engineers.
• Travel up to 10%.
