Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation seeks a Sustaining Engineering Manager to guide the sustaining engineering organization for HVAC and data center cooling products. You will lead a high-performing team and partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Service, and Supply Chain to ensure robust technical solutions and strong product support after release.

This role focuses on driving operational excellence, cost reduction, and regulatory compliance while maintaining design standards and clear executive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years engineering experience or Master’s degree with 5+ years experience.
• 5+ years leading project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of mechanical, electrical, controls, and systems engineers.
• Establish strategy, priorities, resource plans, and execution objectives for sustaining engineering activities.
• Create a culture of accountability, technical excellence, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
• Drive engineering productivity, prioritization, and execution of sustaining engineering projects.
• Partner with manufacturing operations to resolve production issues and improve manufacturability.
• Provide engineering leadership for factory support activities including quality escapes, non-conformances, turnbacks, and production disruptions.
• Ensure engineering changes are reviewed, documented, validated, and released in accordance with company processes.
• Coordinate implementation activities across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, service, and quality organizations.
• Support supplier localization efforts and dual-source qualification initiatives.
• Ensure sustaining activities maintain compliance with applicable regulatory, industry, and Carrier standards.
