Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Staff Engineer for Sustaining Controls in Fort Worth, TX. You will own sustaining engineering for product control systems, embedded configurations and drive diagnostics.

The role requires 7+ years in controls and 2+ years in embedded systems, with travel up to 10%. Opportunities include design improvements, ECN/ECO processes, and collaboration with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or Systems Engineering.
• 7+ years of controls engineering experience in a product or manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of experience with control systems, embedded logic, sensors and actuators.

Responsibilities

• Owns sustaining engineering for product control systems, logic and embedded configurations.
• Investigates and resolves field and production controls issues through root-cause analysis.
• Develops and validates control-software updates, parameter settings and diagnostics.
• Leads cost-reduction, component-obsolescence and design-improvement projects for controls.
• Supports production line troubleshooting, test-stand development and validation.
