Job summary

Ōura is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to join our hardware team in San Francisco on a hybrid basis. You will design and develop wearable and consumer devices, focusing on electrical architecture, schematic capture, PCB layout, and robust prototyping.

You will collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration, validate performance, and contribute to roadmaps for future wearables. A strong track record in high-volume electronics and leadership is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience designing and shipping high volume consumer electronics as an HW Systems Integrator.
• Experience with ultra low power microprocessors, SoCs, MEMS sensors, and Wireless Charging.
• Experience designing and validating analog and digital circuits and systems.
• Familiar with UART, I2C, MIPI, SPI, DSI and other communication protocols.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout software.

Responsibilities

• Electrical Design and development of wearable and consumer devices with precision, reliability.
• Define, own, and execute rapid prototyping for concepts and evaluations.
• Test, validate, and troubleshoot electrical systems to meet performance and safety standards.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical components.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers to develop embedded systems and tools.
• Help define and refine product roadmaps and timelines.
