Job summary

Actalent in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Staff Electrical Engineer – Substation to support high-voltage substation design from 13kV to 765kV, partnering with senior engineers to develop design packages, grounding studies, cable sizing, and protection/control layouts.

This contract-to-hire role onsite offers exposure to utility projects, collaborative teams, and opportunities to contribute from conceptual design through construction, with compensation in the stated hourly range.

Qualifications

• 3 years of substation engineering experience.
• BSEE preferred.
• Exposure to AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Utility consulting experience preferred.
• Physical design experience.
• EIT preferred.

Support design and engineering efforts for high-voltage electrical substations ranging from 13kV to 765kV. Collaborate with senior engineers to develop substation design packages, grounding studies, cable sizing, protection and control layouts, and physical substation designs. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 – $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
