Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Substation to lead engineering and design activities for high-voltage substation projects in Fort Worth, TX. This contract-to-hire role focuses on developing substation design packages, engineering calculations, and client interactions.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive projects from concept through construction, and contribute to proposal support while working onsite with a flexible remote option and other fringe benefits.

Responsible for developing substation design packages, engineering calculations, client interaction, proposal support, field inspections, project execution, and mentoring junior engineers. Lead projects from concept through construction.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

• 7 years of experience in substation engineering.

• Experience with high voltage substations and power delivery.

• Proven utility experience and client-facing skills.

• Expertise in protection and controls.

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in utility consulting.

• Ability to lead design projects and manage project execution.

• Strong project leadership skills.

• Experience in proposal development.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75.00 – $95.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
