Job summary

Actalent is actively seeking Electrical Power Systems Technicians to support utility, transmission, distribution, and substation projects across the United States. The role covers relay testing, protection and controls, commissioning, and field engineering for greenfield and brownfield substations, power generation facilities, and utility infrastructure.

Positions may be local or travel-based depending on project requirements, with a hybrid work arrangement based out of Midland, TX.

Qualifications

• Ability to read electrical schematics, one-lines, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with relay testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, switchgear, SCADA systems, or protection and controls is highly preferred.
• Travel availability may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning and testing activities on substation projects.
• Assist in protection and control setup, relay testing, and switchgear work.
• Collaborate with field engineers on commissioning, energization, and startup tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $75.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
