CVS Health in the United States is hiring a Staff Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and implement platform solutions and systems, applying advanced technical expertise to architect and code software applications and participate in cross‑functional engineering projects.

The role requires 8+ years in DevOps or platform engineering, deep Kubernetes proficiency (architecture, upgrades, networking, security), GitOps with Argo CD, Fleet management, and experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and

Qualifications

8+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering within enterprise-scale environments.
Strong hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, including architecture, capacity planning, upgrades, networking, security, and advanced troubleshooting.
Proven ability to design, deploy, and support large-scale Kubernetes environments spanning multiple clusters, regions, or business units.
Deep understanding of GitOps methodologies, applying Git as the single source of truth for both application and infrastructure lifecycle management.
Extensive experience with Argo CD for enterprise-grade continuous deployment, release automation, and governance in Kubernetes environments.
Hands-on experience with Fleet for managing and orchestrating multi-cluster Kubernetes deployments at enterprise scale.
Strong experience working with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including enterprise networking, IAM, security controls, and cost optimization.
Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, OCI standards) and enterprise container registries.

Responsibilities

Leverage expertise to design and implement efficient and scalable solutions that meet business requirements and quality standards
Provide input on technical feasibility, performance optimization, and scalability considerations to ensure that the overall solution meets the desired objectives
Communicate and coordinate with team members to ensure alignment, provide technical insights, and contribute to decision‑making processes
Contribute to the adoption of best practices, new technologies, and tools to enhance productivity, efficiency, and code quality
