Job summary

CVS Health Digital is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer who combines technical leadership with hands-on development to build our next‑generation platform and enable rapid delivery of health care use cases.

You will design and implement scalable solutions, lead code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with architects and IT leaders to improve performance, reliability, and security across our digital ecosystem.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience delivering enterprise solutions in a large-scale distributed software design environment.
5+ years of Java development experience.
5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise cloud initiatives and solutions with cloud computing technologies.
5+ years of designing and developing modern microservices and cost-effective APIs.
3+ years of experience working on CI/CD Pipeline automation.
3+ years of experience working in an Agile-based development environment.
2+ years of Agentic AI / Generative AI experience.

Responsibilities

Design and implement efficient, scalable solutions that meet business requirements and quality standards.
Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions with architects and senior engineers.
Provide input on technical feasibility, performance optimization, and scalability.
