Job summary

The Trade Desk is seeking a technically sharp Staff Product Manager to own data flows, cataloging, and governance across its platform. You will ensure the right people access the right data, and translate complex data problems for engineering and business stakeholders.

This role sits at the intersection of internal data access, metadata infrastructure, and compliance, driving cross-functional alignment on governance standards and tooling.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product management experience focused on data platforms or governance in a software or ad tech environment.
• Hands-on knowledge of data catalog and metadata management tooling at scale.
• Deep understanding of schema management, versioning, evolution and mapping to business glossaries.
• Strong command of GDPR/CCPA/CPRA and privacy frameworks and translating into product requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for schema evolution and versioning without breaking pipelines.
• Define drift detection tooling for real-time schema changes across data inputs.
• Build semantic mapping between technical schemas and business terms in a data glossary.
• Define column-level lineage tracking from source to reports.
• Lead tagging of data assets for discoverability and access control.
• Develop taxonomy and classification framework including PII and regulatory tags.
• Drive platformization ensuring assets are inventoried, annotated, and accessible with privacy constraints.
