Job summary

Invoca is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to provide technical leadership for the Data Platform team. You will define the strategic direction, own the 3-month delivery plan, and ensure data used by AI agents is reliable, fresh, and well-governed.

You will collaborate with product engineering, analytics, and data science to align technical outcomes with business value, shipping high-impact data infrastructure improvements across ingestion, lakehouse, and analytics tooling.

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering experience with data platform/infrastructure/backend systems and measurable production impact.
Proven technical leadership: setting vision, architecture, iterative delivery, and accountability for releases.
Experience with Databricks or lakehouse platforms and modern pipeline orchestration tooling.
Experience delivering data to AI systems as context (retrieval, embeddings, feature/context serving).

Responsibilities

Define and evolve the technical vision for Invoca's data platform across product teams.
Design and build ingestion, streaming, and transformation pipelines for data and signals.
Lead rolling 3-month delivery plan and coordinate across engineering and product teams.
Build data-as-context systems for AI agents and data intelligence products.
Establish safe, observable practices for integrating AI into data workflows.
