Job summary

Invoca is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the Data Platform team, guiding architectural direction and the 3-month delivery plan. You will enable product teams to leverage data across ingestion, streaming, lakehouse, and AI context layers, driving measurable business impact.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product and analytics, and champion safe, observable data workflows in a remote-first, U.S.-based environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proven technical leadership background: architecture, roadmap delivery, ownership of releases.
• Hands-on with Databricks or lakehouse platforms plus modern pipeline orchestration tooling.
• Experience serving data to AI systems as context (retrieval, embeddings, feature serving).
• Experience building data systems and practices that improve speed, quality, reliability, or safety.
• Experience building AI tools and agentic workflows with practical applications.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the data platform's technical vision across product teams.
• Design and build ingestion, streaming, and transformation pipelines for call/SMS data and signals.
• Evolve lakehouse architecture and data analysis tooling used for exploration, querying and reporting.
• Ensure teams can safely build on data without deep data infra expertise.
• Own the rolling 3-month delivery plan and translate roadmap into high-impact releases.
• Build data platform as context for Invoca's AI agents and Data Intelligence products.
