Job summary

Cribl is hiring a Staff Data Engineer to lead our data engineering efforts across analytics, data science, and operations. You will shape architecture for data systems and coach engineers while delivering reliable, scalable platforms.

You will work at the intersection of Snowflake, SQL, dbt, AWS, and self-hosted orchestration to advance our modern data stack and AI-driven workflows. This is a hands-on leadership role with high leverage.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Snowflake: modeling, performance tuning, cost mgmt, and RBAC design.
• Experience as a tech lead or staff engineer setting direction and delivering complex systems.
• Strong Python and SQL fundamentals with ELT and data modeling experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical lead for the Data Engineering team.
• Own architecture and design decisions for core data systems and drive reliable, production-grade outcomes.
• Partner with stakeholders across functions (Data Analysts, SREs, IT Engineers, and business teams).
• Clarify requirements, validate outputs, and communicate risks, tradeoffs, and timelines proactively.
