Cribl is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to lead the Data Engineering team, shaping architecture and strategies for analytics, data science, and operational decision-making. You will mentor engineers, drive the dbt practice, and own the self-hosted orchestration and Snowflake environment.

You will work across a modern data stack (Snowflake, SQL, dbt) with AWS infrastructure, IaC, and observability. This high-leverage role emphasizes leadership by example in a remote-first, entrepreneurial culture.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL fundamentals with ELT and data modeling experience.
• Hands-on experience operating self-hosted / self-managed orchestration (Prefect preferred).
• Hands-on AWS and infrastructure-as-code with Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for Cribl's Data Engineering team.
• Own architecture and design decisions for core data systems and production-grade outcomes.
• Own the operational hygiene, upgrades, and footprint of self-hosted/or hybrid orchestration.
• Own Cribl's Snowflake environment and data governance including RBAC.
