Sidecar Health, Inc. is seeking a Staff Data Analytics Engineer to build the data foundation for product teams.

You’ll design data models, pipelines, and metrics in a Snowflake-first stack, using AI tools like Claude to accelerate work while ensuring accuracy and compliance in a regulated healthcare context. The role is remote, with preference for candidates based in CA, OR, WA, UT, or TX, reporting to the Senior Director of Business Analytics.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in analytics or data engineering or related role.
• Bachelor’s Degree in CS, Math, Stats, Economics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong SQL and dbt skills, including incremental models and testing.
• Hands-on Snowflake experience, including semantic modeling.
• Commitment to data quality with tests and monitoring.
• Experience working with product teams to define metrics and scope problems.
• Fluency with AI coding tools like Claude, with judgment to validate AI outputs.
• Comfort in regulated environments with privacy and compliance requirements.
• Ownership from raw data to trusted metrics.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain dbt models and semantic models in Snowflake for reliable metrics.
• Build pipelines behind models from ingestion through transformation.
• Create AI-ready data, semantic models, and metric definitions for Cortex/CoWork use.
• Guide data design decisions with Product and Engineering to measure results from day one.
• Partner with product managers to translate roadmaps into measurable metrics.
• Identify and resolve data collection gaps with Product and Engineering.
• Provide analyses to inform product decisions and evaluate feature performance, including experiments.
• Use AI coding tools and Snowflake Cortex to speed development, review AI-generated code before shipping.
• Build compliance into designs, including HIPAA considerations and access controls.
• Review SQL, dbt, and AI-generated code for correctness and raise standards.
• Document models, metrics, and design decisions for reuse by others.
