Job summary

Sidecar Health is hiring a Staff Data Analytics Engineer to build the data foundation our product teams rely on, designing data models, building pipelines, and defining metrics in a Snowflake-first stack. You’ll use AI tools like Claude and Snowflake Cortex to move faster while validating outputs in a regulated healthcare setting.

This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director, Business Analytics and is remote, but candidates must be based in California, Oregon,

Qualifications

• 6+ years in analytics or data engineering building data models and pipelines.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong SQL and dbt skills with incremental models and testing.
• Hands-on Snowflake experience including semantic modeling.
• Commitment to data quality with tests and monitoring.
• Experience partnering with product teams to define metrics.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain dbt models and semantic models in Snowflake for a metrics view.
• Develop pipelines behind models from ingestion to transformation, aligned with data engineering standards.
• Create AI-ready data with semantic models, metric definitions, and documentation for Cortex/CoWork integration.
• Guide data design decisions with Product and Engineering to measure results from day one.
• Partner with product managers to translate roadmap goals into measurable success metrics.
• Identify data gaps and drive resolution with Product and Engineering.
• Provide analysis to inform product decisions and evaluate feature performance, including AB test readouts.
