Job summary

IBM Software is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Secure Compute Platform to lead multi-tenant, cloud-native infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure. You will help design, implement, and operate scalable, secure compute workloads with Go and Kubernetes in a distributed environment.

You will mentor engineers, shape API design, and drive cross-team collaboration to deliver high-availability platform services with strong security practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience building scalable backend or infrastructure software
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale distributed systems
• Deep Kubernetes expertise including controllers/operators

Responsibilities

• Define technical direction for Secure Compute, including platform architecture and security
• Design and implement platform APIs and Kubernetes controllers for workload lifecycle
• Lead cross-team architecture discussions and drive execution of secure compute roadmap
• Mentor engineers and ensure high availability, reliability, and security of platform services
• Own operational excellence including SLOs, incident response, and disaster recovery
