Anthropic is seeking a Capacity Engineer to design and operate the data-driven planning and allocation stack for its AI fleet. You will build production-quality data pipelines, observability tooling, and cost-forecasting mechanisms across cloud providers, ensuring high utilization and reliable capacity management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the role.
• Experience in capacity planning, resource management, or cost attribution at hyperscale.
• Strong Python and SQL production-quality skills.

Responsibilities

• Build the planning and allocation stack with cross-region placement and KPIs.
• Drive efficiency programs including rightsizing and unused capacity recovery.
• Own attribution and forecasting across multiple providers and telemetry sources.
• Build the data platform with BigQuery integration and complete data governance.
• Operate Kubernetes-native systems at scale and ensure SLOs and on-call readiness.
• Treat the output as a product with requirements gathering and cross-team collaboration.
