Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Capacity Planner to own demand planning forecast translation into per-tranche requirements, shaping accelerator interconnect, region, resources and dates for negotiations and data center build reviews.

You will manage the integrated schedule and system of record from contracted to occupied, drive performance metrics, and coordinate with research, compute, finance, and external vendors across multiple regions and sites.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering large-scale infrastructure — cloud regions, accelerator clusters, HPC systems, or bare-metal fleets — at multi‑region scale or ≥10k accelerators (or CPU/storage equivalent).
• Technical range from cluster orchestration and node health to telemetry and planning tables, enough to debug where they disagree rather than route it.
• SQL and enough Python to answer your own questions and build your own reporting.
• A degree in a technical field or an equivalent engineering track record.

Responsibilities

• Turn the forecast into per-tranche requirements for accelerator interconnect, region, resources and date.
• Qualify tranches for deliverability before signature and ensure schedulable, healthy, instrumented deployment.
• Close the delivery loop by tracking forecast-versus-delivered and feeding variance back to Demand Planning.
• Own the bring-up system of record and define the canonical contract-to-occupied state machine.
• Run a portfolio of bring-ups across new cloud regions and on-prem sites with an integrated schedule.
• Drive readiness automation to integrate capacity systems from contracted to ingested and scaled.
• Instrument and publish metrics on time-to-occupied and paid-idle dollars per tranche for leadership review.
