Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or equivalent
• 10+ years of software development experience
• Deep understanding of real-time software architecture
• Experience shipping safety-critical products
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Python and at least one other engineering-tooling language
• Experience with automotive/embedded safety-related toolchains
• Large-scale migration from Make to Bazel
• Experience with AI-assisted developer productivity workflows
• Evaluation of AI-enabled engineering workflows using measurable outcomes

Responsibilities

• Lead productivity and effectiveness improvements across the team
• Mentor and coach engineers while balancing technical leadership with empathy
• Modernize build and test systems by migrating to Bazel across repositories
• Define phased Bazel migration strategy and rollout model
• Design reusable Bazel rules, toolchains, and configurations for embedded software
• Integrate Bazel with enterprise CI/CD, testing, release, and security workflows
• Measure success by parity, faster builds, reduced queue times, and better reproducibility
