Job summary

General Motors is seeking a software engineering leader to modernize and scale the build systems for software-defined vehicles. You will drive a large Bazel migration, improve speed and reliability, and establish platform capability goals across teams.

You will lead by example, mentor engineers, and shape the strategy for integrating Bazel with CI/CD, testing, and release workflows while maintaining security and reproducibility across repositories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of software development experience.
• Deep understanding of real-time software architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead software engineering productivity and effectiveness across teams.
• Modernize build and test systems by migrating to Bazel and scalable tooling.
• Design reusable Bazel rules, toolchains, and configurations for embedded software.
