As a Staff Software Engineer on the Order Platform team, you will shape the systems powering orders, captures, refunds, and settlements, while setting technical strategy for high-scale reliability.

You will mentor engineers, own decisions with long-term impact, and collaborate across product, design and analytics to deliver robust, scalable backend services that support

Qualifications

8+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
Experience with payments, commerce, ledger, or financially sensitive domains is a plus.
Strong ability to define API boundaries, reliability and failover behavior.

Responsibilities

Set technical strategy for your team over a year-long horizon.
Collaborate across product, design and analytics to ensure sustainable, low-risk architecture.
Advocate for scalable solutions and establishment of coding and design standards.
Oversee operations, monitoring, and on-call readiness to keep systems running smoothly.
Mentor engineers and help grow talent on the team.
Drive high-quality software through reviews and clear documentation.
