As a Staff Software Engineer on the Order Platform team, you’ll shape systems powering every purchase after checkout—orders, captures, refunds, and settlement—and drive the technical strategy that lets merchants and consumers transact reliably at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend design, development and scale.
• Experience with Python or Kotlin in production.
• Strong API design, reliability and fault tolerance.
• Experience with payments, commerce, ledger domain is a plus.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long horizon.
• Collaborate with product, design and analytics for sustainable tech and trade-offs.
• Define solutions and operational processes to keep systems reliable.
• Own operations and availability with monitoring, triage, playbooks and on-call readiness.
• Set code and design standards and evangelize them beyond your team.
• Mentor engineers and help grow talent across the org.
