Responsibilities

You will set the technical strategy for your team on a year-long horizon.
You will work with product, infrastructure, and SRE teams to guide initiatives.
You will design and build components of a scalable datastore platform for relational and key-value storage.
You will develop control planes for managing hundreds of databases, including migrations, DR, sharding and performance tuning.
You will collaborate with product, design & analytics to ensure sustainability and manage risks.
You will drive operational excellence with monitoring, runbooks, and on-call readiness.
You will establish coding and design standards and promote them across teams.
You will mentor and develop team members through feedback and leadership.
