Affirm is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the Databases (Relational and KeyValue) platform. You will shape technical strategy for multi-region, scalable storage and drive improvements across MySQL, TiDB/Vitess, and cloud deployments.

You will partner with product, infra, and SRE teams to ensure reliable operations, implement migrations, sharding, and performance tuning, and mentor engineers while writing clean code and advocating for standards.
