You will partner with search, recommendations, web, mobile, design, and product to deliver backend systems that support discovery, personalization, and core consumption journeys.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in backend engineering and distributed systems.
• Clean, secure code in modern backend languages (Ruby preferred).
• Strong focus on reliability, observability, and defining SLOs.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for the Everand backend, including architecture and design docs.
• Own backend reliability, CI/CD, databases, queues, cost, and observability.
• Mentor engineers, perform PR reviews, and drive cross‑team collaboration.
• Be the Everand backend voice in planning and cross‑functional execution.
• Foster technical excellence, scalable and observable systems, and reduce tech debt.
