Job summary

Sourcepass in New York is seeking an on-site Level I IT Support professional to deliver break/fix resolutions and install new equipment. You will assist users across a range of devices, networks, and software in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in IT or related field (or equivalent experience), strong communication, and a drive to grow technical skills in Windows, ChromeOS, Google Workspace, and AD/MDM environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Support Engineer or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level I IT support and break/fix resolution on-site.

Position

You will be providing Level I IT Support and Break/Fix resolution as well as installation of new equipment and services. This is an on-site role with coverage in Eastern Suffolk County, NY.

Responsibilities

• Bachelor's degree in an IT related curriculum or related field experience
• Proven Experience as a Support Engineer or relevant position
• Ability to communicate effectively

• In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems.
• Good knowledge of Internet security and data privacy principles.

Requirements

• Laptop troubleshooting – significant knowledge of laptop hardware, as well as the ability to repair the device from top to bottom.
• Desktop support – Latest Windows OS, ChromeOS, Misc. software, Microsoft Office 365, printing, troubleshooting skills especially Print Server communication, as well as significant hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Server support – Legacy and latest Windows Server OS, Active Directory, group policy, printing, NTFS and share permissions, troubleshooting skills.
• Active Directory – Users and Devices
• Google Workspace Administration
• Apple MDM (DEP, VPP)
• Security is the main focus, making sure devices are up to date with patches, AV definitions, devices authorization, etc...
• Ability to interface with vendors through email or voice call to schedule RMA for devices.
• Print repair/troubleshooting – ability to troubleshoot and repair various printer models/makes
