Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) or LLB from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Texas Bar in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of successful trial attorney experience, preferably in insurance law.
• Proven ability to manage moderately complex litigation and achieve favorable outcomes.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Proficient with e-discovery tools, case management software, and remote collaboration technologies.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage all phases of litigation for claims up to $50,000 exposure.
• Lead settlement negotiations and participate in hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Support trial teams through all stages of case handling and discovery.
• Develop and refine advanced legal strategies for discovery and trial preparation.
• Provide clear advisory opinions and manage client relationships.
• Mentor junior attorneys and staff; drive training and leadership within the team.
• Ensure documents are compliant with MRPC and regulatory standards.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and workflow improvements.
