Job summary

JLL is seeking a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer to operate at the front lines of AI-enabled solutions. You will architect, prototype, and deploy cross‑team data and AI solutions with enterprise-grade security and scalability.

You will drive architecture decisions and build reusable patterns for others, while mentoring engineers and delivering production-ready prototypes. The role requires deep hands-on expertise in AI agents, data pipelines, and full‑stack development, with strong communication

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of software engineering experience, with customer-facing or embedded delivery
• Strong architecture background capable of cross‑stack design
• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants as primary dev workflow
• Experience deploying AI agents on AWS Bedrock AgentCore
• Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers/clients
• Data engineering: building and redesigning data pipelines and flows
• Full‑stack development across backend, APIs, frontend
• Mentoring engineers and establishing technical standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead solution design for complex, cross‑functional data and AI problems from discovery to blueprint
• Select tools and architectures across varied platforms and data sources
• Define architecture decisions, trade-offs, and delivery approaches
• Design scalable, modular systems with reliability, security, and maintainability
• Create architecture docs, data flow maps, API contracts, and briefs
• Establish reusable architecture patterns for teams to adopt
• Develop and maintain AI plugins/skills for the coding assistant
• Redesign data pipelines and data flows to unblock use cases
• Deploy and operate AI agents in production via AgentCore
• Translate business requirements into concrete technical solutions with minimal hand-holding
• Balance delivery speed with enterprise standards; prototypes must be production-ready
• Create intuitive front-end interfaces and dashboards for business users
• Provide technical escalation and mentor engineers across portfolios
• Embed with multiple teams to co-define problems and delivery plans
• Communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Foster a collaborative, high-velocity culture
