Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer to design and deploy AI-driven data and automation solutions. You will act as the embedded technical owner across multiple teams, architecting scalable systems and delivering production-ready prototypes in days rather than months.

You will work with AI coding assistants, build custom plugins, redesign data pipelines, and deploy agents on AWS Bedrock AgentCore while mentoring engineers and shaping technical standards

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of software engineering experience, including customer-facing or embedded technical delivery roles.
• Strong software architecture background with independent design of diverse Toolchains across stacks.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) and building custom plugins/skills.
• Experience deploying AI agents on AWS Bedrock AgentCore and MCP server/client implementations.
• Data engineering experience — building/re designing data pipelines and data flows.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution design for complex, cross-functional data and AI problems from discovery to blueprint.
• Evaluate tools and architectures across varied platforms and data sources.
• Define architecture decisions and communicate trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Design scalable, modular systems with enterprise reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Create architecture diagrams, data flow maps, API contracts, and reference designs.
• Establish reusable patterns adopted across engagements.
• Use AI coding assistants as primary development environment for prototyping to production.
• Build and maintain AI agent skills and plugins for recurring use cases.
• Deploy and operate AI agents in production via AWS Bedrock AgentCore.
• Translate business requirements into concrete technical solutions with minimal hand-holding.
• Balance speed with enterprise standards; prototypes must be production-ready.
