Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Aeronautical Engineer to join our Edwards AFB team. You will act as the technical authority for integration and verification, fuse HW/SW interfaces, and deliver data that informs design and program decisions.

The role requires protecting a Top Secret clearance, extensive systems integration experience, and the ability to work on-site with up to 25% travel. A flexible learning environment and collaborative team culture are highlighted.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years experience, or a Master's with 10 years, or a Ph.D. with 8 years.
Must hold an active US Government Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or Continuous Evaluation).
Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance within a reasonable time as determined by business needs.
Transfer and maintain final adjudicated Top Secret clearance (in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access required.
Experience with test, test equipment use and troubleshooting; ability to create/update/executing test procedures.

Responsibilities

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability analyses for total systems.
Translates customer requirements into hardware and software specifications and ensures proper interface definition.
Be the technical authority for integration and verification, champion test readiness, and influence design decisions.
The selected candidate will work full-time, on-site at Edwards AFB; travel up to 25% and odd shifts may be required.
