Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks Consulting Chief Engineers to lead large, multi-disciplinary teams in the FMS & USAF portfolios, based in San Diego, CA. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 16 years of aviation experience or Master’s with 14 years, or Ph.D. with 11 years in manned/unmanned aircraft systems.
Subject Matter Expert in two or more Core Technical Competency areas: technical judgement, leadership, systems engineering, architecture trades, cross-functional integration.
Experience with aircraft systems including air vehicle, mission computing, communications, and sensors.

Responsibilities

Lead over 100 engineers in FMS portfolio or over 200 engineers in USAF portfolio through sustainment, improvement and development of new capabilities.
Oversee major technical reviews (SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, TRR, FRR) to ensure quality on time and within budget.
Serve as principal technical interface with customer and lead risk, safety, and technical performance oversight.
Ensure technical product roadmaps and bid/ECP processes are robust and compliant.
Provide feedback to IPTs and functional homeroom as Voice of the Customer on people, processes and tools.
Develop, implement and maintain technical roadmaps for programs.
