Job summary

RethinkFirst, a market leader in behavioral and mental health technology, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. This key role supports month-end close, reconciliations, and GAAP compliance in a remote-first environment.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct.

Qualifications

• Requires 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Experience with ERP systems like Sage Intacct preferred.
• Must comply with GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting tasks including bank reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Investigate accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist month-end close with balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Support external auditors with required documents.
• Ensure compliance with policies and GAAP.
