Job summary

RethinkFirst, a leader in behavioral and mental health technology, seeks a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. You will report to the Controller and play a key role in daily accounting, including bank reconciliations and supporting the month-end close.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 2–3 years of relevant experience, advanced Excel skills, and a solid understanding of GAAP. Remote opportunities are available for eligible U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and lookups required.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
