Job summary

RethinkFirst is a market leader in behavioral and mental health technology, seeking a Staff Accountant to join the accounting and finance team. Report to the Controller and contribute to a robust month-end close and accurate financial reporting.

Ideal candidates will have 2–3 years of accounting experience, strong Excel and ERP experience (Sage Intacct), and excellent communication skills. Remote-first with flexibility for national reach.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance with 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Experience with ERP like Sage Intacct preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Assist month-end close, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors with requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
