Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. This remote-friendly role supports day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, and helps ensure timely financial reporting and GAAP compliance.

Qualified candidates will have 2–3 years of accounting experience and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP). We offer a comprehensive benefits package and remote opportunities for eligible U.S. residents.

Qualifications

• Preferred 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and month-end close.
• Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards.
