Job summary

Bachman’s Inc in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Staff Accountant to drive accurate financial reporting, oversee payroll accounting, and ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. You will reconcile balance sheet accounts, prepare journal entries, and manage bi-weekly payroll using UltiPro.

You will also support audits, analyze labor data, and partner with leaders to deliver reliable financial results while maintaining strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• GAAP knowledge with ability to analyze GL postings and reconciliations.
• Ability to assist independent auditors and respond with documentation.
• Strong Excel skills including PivotTables and charts.
• Experience with payroll accounting and year-end payroll processes.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts including payroll liabilities and deferred revenue.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and adjustments.
• Manage bi-weekly payroll processing with garnishments and taxes.
• Maintain payroll reports and UltiPro reporting; act as payroll system SME.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and filings such as 941s and W-2s.
• Support audits and assist with reporting and administrative duties.
• Identify process improvements in payroll controls.
